Overview

Ickle Owl is an interactive Augmented Reality (AR) experience designed for children aged 2–8, encouraging exploration of the natural environment while introducing native British wildlife and conservation.

The experience follows the story of Ickle Owl, a young owl who has fallen from the nest and cannot yet fly. Visitors accompany Ickle along a guided trail, helping him return home while encountering various animals along the way.

Users carry Ickle Owl virtually throughout the trail, interacting with AR characters such as otters, stoats, toads, foxes, and grass snakes. Each encounter combines storytelling with educational content, creating an engaging and accessible learning experience.
